Warrant’s ‘Ultraphobic’ Celebrates 30 Years with Vinyl Debut: A Remastered Rock Relic
Get ready to crank up the nostalgia! Warrant's 1995 album, 'Ultraphobic,' is making a grand comeback. This year marks the 30th anniversary of this rock-fueled record, and to celebrate, it's been remastered and is hitting vinyl for the very first time. But why is this release significant for rock fans?
Originally unleashed in March 1995, 'Ultraphobic' arrived during a transitional period for the hard rock scene. Now, 30 years later, Deko Entertainment is giving it a fresh spin with a vinyl release slated for late July 2025. The album featured Jani Lane on lead vocals, Erik Turner on rhythm guitar, Jerry Dixon on bass, Rick Steier on lead guitar and James Kottak on drums. Tragically, both Lane and Kottak have since passed away, making this release all the more poignant.

'Ultraphobic', produced by Beau Hill, featured singles like "Family Picnic," "Followed," and the ballad "Stronger Now."
Warrant, formed in 1984, achieved major success between 1989 and 1996, selling over 10 million albums internationally. Their debut, 'Dirty Rotten Filthy Stinking Rich' (1989), went double platinum, with "Heaven" reaching No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100. 'Cherry Pie' (1990) continued their streak, also achieving double platinum status. While 1992’s 'Dog Eat Dog' garnered critical acclaim, 'Ultraphobic' marked a shift, arriving amidst the rise of alternative rock.
The remastered version will be available on 180g vinyl, in both Orange Swirl and Black. Adding to the collector's appeal, limited CD/LP bundles will include a signed print by original members Erik Turner and Jerry Dixon, while supplies last.
