Megan Thee Stallion SLAMS Met Gala Ban Rumors: ‘Anna Wintour Loves Me!’

Did Megan Thee Stallion get banned from the Met Gala for breaking the strict "no phones" rule? Social media exploded with speculation after the rapper posted a now-infamous "Hottie Cam" video featuring herself, Doechii, and WNBA star Angel Reese trying the food inside the Metropolitan Museum of Art. But fear not, Hotties! Megan herself is setting the record straight.

In an exclusive interview with People, Megan vehemently denied the rumors. "No. We're gonna dead these rumors right now, okay? People are like, 'Oh my God, Megan, you got banned from the Met Gala.' No, I didn't, babe. Like that's not true," she stated emphatically. She even added, "Y'all made that up and ran with it. They love making [stuff up]. Anna [Wintour] loves me, babe. That's why my phone was out."

So, where did these rumors originate? It seems the mere sight of Megan, Doechii, and Angel Reese documenting their Met Gala experience was enough to spark the speculation, despite the event's well-known policy against phone usage. Megan's lighthearted food review, shared on Instagram, fueled the fire.

Megan's 2025 Met Gala look was nothing short of spectacular, featuring a custom-designed, cleavage-baring, sparkling silver gown by Michael Kors, complemented by an extravagant white fur coat. Her hair, styled in a larger-than-life tiered ponytail inspired by Josephine Baker, perfectly embodied the night's "Tailored for You" dress code.

And speaking of breaking rules, Megan wasn't the only celebrity to sneak a phone into the Met. Laura Harrier and Lewis Hamilton also captured bathroom selfies with a star-studded cast. It seems a little phone fun wasn't enough to cause a ban.

But Megan's not just shutting down rumors. She's also expanding her brand! Megan teased her collaboration with Airbnb to bring fans the Otaku Hottie Quest Experience. The experience will allow guests to participate in activities like choosing cosplay outfits and battling in a 1-on-1 Mortal Kombat competition on Xbox Series X. Fans have the chance to immerse into Megan's Otakuverse on June 12, with Megan "awarding special charms to guests so they can level up their Otaku Hottie Status."

So, to recap: Megan Thee Stallion was NOT banned from the Met Gala, Anna Wintour approves, and Hotties can now live their best otaku life with Megan via Airbnb. What do you think about these rumors? Were you surprised to hear them? Let us know in the comments below!
