“Kenya in Three Meals”: Kyuhyun, Eun Ji Won, and Lee Soo Geun Finally Embark on Long-Awaited Spin-Off!
After years of anticipation, the spin-off of the beloved variety show "New Journey to the West," titled "Kenya in Three Meals," is officially underway! Fans have been eagerly awaiting this moment, and now it's finally happening.
On May 14, OSEN reported that Lee Soo Geun, SECHSKIES’s Eun Ji Won, and Super Junior’s Kyuhyun have departed for Kenya. The production company, Egg Is Coming, confirmed the news, stating, "It’s true that PD Na Young Suk, Lee Soo Geun, Eun Ji Won, and Kyuhyun have left for Kenya to shoot the program. Nothing else has been finalized yet."

The concept for "Kenya in Three Meals" originated back in 2019 during "New Journey to the West 7," when Kyuhyun, Lee Soo Geun, and Eun Ji Won won a voucher for a stay at the famous Giraffe Manor in Kenya. However, the COVID-19 pandemic caused indefinite delays, leading many to believe that the spin-off was cancelled.
According to MK, Na Young-seok PD (Producer Director), comedian Lee Soo-geun, and singers Eun Ji-won and Kyu-hyun left for Kenya to film. The continuity stems from the episode in Season 7 of "New Journey to the West" where the trio won the Kirin Hotel stay.

The news also dispels rumors of discord between Na Young-seok and Lee Soo-geun. Speculation arose when the production of the next season of "New Journey to the West" was delayed. Lee Soo-geun addressed these concerns on MBC's "Radio Star," explaining Na Young-seok's busy schedule with shows like "Three Meals a Day" and "Yoon's Restaurant," emphasizing that the delay was due to scheduling conflicts and not any personal issues.
Fans can look forward to a unique and entertaining experience as the cast embarks on this exciting adventure in Kenya, promising a blend of humor, camaraderie, and the breathtaking landscapes of Africa.
