Justin Bieber’s Financial Troubles: Millions Owed to Scooter Braun Amidst Spending Concerns

Amidst swirling rumors of financial woes, it's been revealed that Justin Bieber reportedly owes his former manager, Scooter Braun, a substantial amount of money. Despite their professional split nearly two years ago, an independent audit conducted by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC) has determined that Bieber owes Braun over $8.8 million. This revelation comes at a time when the singer's spending habits are under scrutiny, raising questions about his financial management.

The debt stems from a loan Braun reportedly made to Bieber to cover losses incurred from his canceled 2022 Justice Tour. Sources claim Braun stepped in to assist Bieber when he faced significant debt. This intervention has sparked debate and different views on Justin's financial affairs.

Earlier reports suggested Bieber's team believed Braun was overpaid in commissions by $26 million. However, after an internal audit, Hybe, Braun's company, discovered that Bieber owed him $1 million. Braun purportedly waived that amount only for a formal audit to occur via PWC.

The back-and-forth audits and claims have created a complex narrative surrounding the singer's finances. Some sources suggest Bieber's extravagant spending habits are to blame. An insider told Page Six earlier this month, “He’s flying in all his friends on private jets to his birthday party, putting it all over Instagram. He’ll spend $300,000 at the Nobu at Coachella. He hasn’t worked in a really long time.” This image of lavish expenditure clashes with the narrative of financial hardship presented in the audits, leading to speculation and concern among fans.

TMZ further investigated with a documentary airing May 14, 2025, “TMZ Investigates: What Happened to Justin Bieber," revealing Bieber owed AEG $24 million after receiving a $40 million advance for the ill-fated Justice Tour.

Adding another layer to the narrative, Bieber's relationship with his clothing company, Drew House, appears to have soured. In April, Bieber stated on Instagram that Drew House did not represent him, urging fans not to waste their money on it. This apparent disassociation from the brand raises questions about his involvement in various ventures and his overall financial strategy.
