Hatebreed to Headline Summer Slaughter 2025: A New Era of Metal Dominance
Get ready for a brutal summer! Metalcore legends Hatebreed are set to headline the highly anticipated Summer Slaughter 2025 tour, marking a triumphant return for the band and a fresh start for the iconic festival. After a four-year hiatus, Summer Slaughter roared back in 2024, and this time, Jamey Jasta and company are taking the reigns, promising an even bigger and better experience for metalheads nationwide.
"A new era of Summer Slaughter has begun," proclaims Jamey Jasta, signaling a revitalized vision for the tour. "Huge thanks to Ash and the Sumerian team for their belief and support. Myself and Sound Talent Group are excited to be working with them going forward and taking the tour worldwide.”
This year's lineup is stacked with both emerging and established acts, ensuring a diverse and intense sonic assault. Alongside Hatebreed, the tour will feature a rotating cast of supporting bands, including:

- Bleeding Through
- Malevolence
- Incite
- Escuela Grind
- Snuffed On Sight (select dates)
The tour kicks off on July 8th in St. Petersburg, FL, and will tear through cities across the US before concluding in Grand Rapids, MI, on July 28th. Notable stops include:
- July 17: Huntington, NY @ The Paramount
- July 19: Sayreville, NJ @ Starland Ballroom
Ash Avildsen, founder of Summer Slaughter and head of Sumerian Records, expressed his excitement about having Hatebreed headline: "I've always wanted Hatebreed to headline 'Summer Slaughter' since the inception of the tour many years ago. Jasta and the band have always curated and built community across different sub-genres in the world of heavy underground music like very few others have been able to. I am thrilled it's finally happening on 'Slaughter' with HATEBREED at the top."
Beyond the Summer Slaughter dates, Hatebreed will also perform a couple of side shows with heavyweights Lamb of God and either Shadows Fall or GWAR, adding even more opportunities to witness their raw power live.
Summer Slaughter has always been about showcasing the future of heavy music, and Jasta intends to uphold that tradition. “The tour has always catapulted the newest and brightest talent to new heights and we'll be continuing in that tradition while expanding in size and scope.
