Full of Hell Unleashes Scorching Title Track “Broken Sword, Rotten Shield” Ahead of EP Release
Full of Hell is gearing up to unleash their highly anticipated EP, Broken Sword, Rotten Shield, on May 16th via Closed Casket Activities. To whet fans' appetites, the extreme-metal outfit has dropped the blistering title track, following the release of the gnarly lead single "Knight’s Oath" last month.
The track, as vocalist Dylan Walker explains, "is an introduction to the theme of the EP. The dog knights represent these pure defenders against a world of darkness and the feeling of utter grief and defeat when we lose these companions. Along side that metaphor, the song also explains that in this world, all living things are rendered equal in the end, and for some that’s a mighty fall."

Listeners can dive into the sonic devastation of "Broken Sword, Rotten Shield" now. The EP promises seven new tracks exploring themes of love, loss, and grief through a fantasy-tinged lens. The band crafts a narrative world of dog knights and noble quests, only to dismantle it with a violent reckoning with mortality.
Following up on the acclaim of their 2024 album, Coagulated Bliss, Full of Hell continues their creative surge. Produced by Kevin Bernstein (Misery Index, Pig Destroyer), Broken Sword, Rotten Shield intends to intertwine suffocating heaviness with moments of bleak melody and reflection. It expands Full of Hell’s sonic palette while staying true to its core: confronting pain with unflinching honesty and transforming it into something crushingly real.
