This tour follows the release of Cannibal Corpse's critically acclaimed sixteenth studio album, "Chaos Horrific", which dropped in September 2023 via Metal Blade Records. The album, a monstrous continuation of their legacy, has been praised for its relentless brutality and technical prowess.
Guitarist Rob Barrett commented that the band's songwriting has progressed in a manner where every song paves its own path. "Sometimes it's a mix of both, so there's no preconceived idea that we want to be more technical. The music just sort of takes its own course."
Erik Rutan, the band's guitarist and producer, mentioned wanting to push the envelope a bit in a different direction than 'Violence Unimagined', expanding the dynamics and exploring new territory.
