Billie Eilish Covers Radiohead’s ‘Creep’ in Haunting Amsterdam Performance

Billie Eilish is making waves during her Hit Me Hard and Soft tour, and her recent stop in Amsterdam was no exception. Fans were treated to something truly special: a stunning cover of Radiohead's iconic hit, "Creep." This unexpected performance has sent ripples through the music world, showcasing Eilish's versatility and reverence for her musical inspirations.

Eilish debuted the cover at the Ziggo Dome, performing a stripped-down version of "Creep" alongside a guitarist and two backup singers. The rendition was both swooning and intimate, highlighting Eilish's distinctive vocals. Adding to the charm of the performance, Eilish even had a brief laughing fit, spotting something funny in the crowd – a moment that has been widely shared and celebrated by fans online.

Videos of the performance quickly surfaced on social media, showing Eilish seated on a stool, delivering the lyrics with her signature flair. "But I’m a creep/I’m a weirdo," she sang, adding her own emotional depth to the already poignant song. It's a moment that perfectly encapsulates Eilish’s ability to connect with her audience on a profoundly personal level.

The cover is particularly meaningful given the long-standing admiration Eilish and her brother/producer Finneas have for Radiohead. In a 2019 Rolling Stone cover story, it was revealed that Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke himself is a fan of Eilish, reportedly telling her, "You’re the only one doing anything f***ing interesting nowadays." The mutual respect between these two artists from different generations highlights the timeless quality of great music.

This isn't the first time the Eilish siblings have shown their love for Radiohead. Last fall, Finneas performed a cover of Radiohead’s 1995 classic "Fake Plastic Trees" at BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge, further solidifying their status as avid fans.

Eilish's Hit Me Hard and Soft tour continues across Europe, with upcoming shows in Germany, Italy, and France, before heading to England in July. She is set to conclude her European shows in Dublin, Ireland in late July.

This unexpected cover of "Creep" serves as a reminder of the power of music to bridge genres and generations. What do you think of Billie Eilish's rendition of Radiohead's classic? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
