Yul Edochie Recalls His Last Interaction With The Founder Of Amaa

Yul Edochie has described his last interaction with Peace Anyiam-Osigwe, the late creator of the Africa Movies Academy Awards (AMAA).

 

After a brief illness, Peace Anyiam-Osigwe allegedly died on January 9 at the St. Nicholas Hospital in Lagos.

 

“Thank you and good night dada Peace,” she said on her social media page after her coworker Obi Emelonye informed her of her passing.

Yul Edochie has also posted on his Facebook to express his condolences for the loss of Peace Anyiam-Osigwe, president of the Association of Movie Producers, AMP. He recalled a phone discussion he had with Peace Anyiam in which she detailed her intentions for the film business.

 

“Life is so unpredictable,” he wrote. Just a few weeks ago, we spoke over the phone, and she praised me for my efforts while outlining her ambitions for Nollywood in 2023. She has left today. Good night, Madam Anyiam-Osigwe. I pray that God would give your family the fortitude to endure the loss.
