Lindiwe Sisulu’s seemingly “harmless” act of sitting between AKA’s parents at the memorial of the late rapper has elicited the ire of many South Africans, who condemned her openly on social media.
It’s unclear how and why she sat between Tony Forbes and Lynn Forbes, but the reality of that moment wasn’t lost on South Africans, especially fans of the “Fela in VeFela in Versace” rapper. So they stormed social media to condemn Sisulu, who happens to be South Africa’s tourism minister.
AKA’s memorial was held on Friday, 17 February, with several notable figures in attendance. The songster had been gunned down seven days earlier as he stepped out of Wish Restaurant on Florida Road in Durban. Killed along with him was his former manager Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane.
Politicians love attention though 😩Awkward😲🤷♂️
