Uche Maduagwu, a controversial and purported Nollywood actor, has attacked Ned Nwoko, a well-known businessman and politician from Delta State, on social media.
Rita Daniels, the mother of well-known actress Regina Daniels, is to blame, in Uche Maduagwu’s opinion, for giving Regina to Ned solely for the purpose of marriage.
This comes after Ned Nwoko accused men from southern Nigeria of encouraging prostitution in the community by disliking polygamy.
“Many women are out there on their own without husbands, especially in the southern part of the country, and there is a high level of prostitution,” Ned said in an interview with The Guardian. It is regrettable what some of our girls do to make ends meet, and if our men followed the example of their northern brethren by taking multiple wives, things might change.
“The typical Southerner may only have one wife, but he also has numerous girlfriends, and he frequently spends more money on his girlfriends than on his wife. For example, a man who has three wives focuses on them and his kids; he devotes all of his income to the family, and he is less likely to have girlfriends or concubines. Money spent on them by people who have multiple girlfriends is a gift, not an investment in the family.
