Is Asake Truly Talented, or Is It Amapiano Vibes Working Its Magic?

In the year 2022, Asake has completely changed the Nigerian music scene.

He has had one of the finest years for a young artist since releasing his debut hit track, Omo Ope, and at one time drew comparisons to Wizkid.

His music has a steady rhythm, and the majority of his tracks feel Amapianoish (if there is such a term), which has helped him stand apart.

The majority of his hits were almost interchangeable before his album was released. In order to identify which music it is, one must listen carefully. Fans began to criticize and call for him to modify his rhythm as a result of the criticism that came from that alone.

Amapiano, often known as a south African musical genre, has been around for a while, but it wasn’t until the release of hit songs like Hellelu by Masterkraft, High by Adekunle Gold, Holy father by Victony, and many more in 2020 that it started to acquire popularity.

One aspect of Nigerian Amapiano that has been constant is its propensity to produce popular songs.

In terms of Asake music, we’ve heard songs like Palazzo, Peace Be Unto You, Sungba, Terminator, Joha, and others. All of these songs are excellent and have produced positive outcomes. BUT has a similar tone.

Asake deserves all the praise he has earned so far in his music career because of his success in looking beyond the conventional.
