On Sunday, Canadian musician Drake lost his $1 million wager on Argentina defeating France in the first half.
Prior to the contest, Drake had predicted that Argentina’s La Albeceliste would prevail. However, the rapper lost his money as a result of the betting site’s regulations.
Here is the wager slip:
According to FoxNews, Drake “bet in a market where extra time is not taken into account and the outcome is judged based on the score after 90 minutes of play.”
After an exciting 2-2 draw after 90 minutes, both sides scored once more in overtime to force a penalty shootout, which Argentina won 4-2 to claim the championship.
Drake had bet on Israel Adesanya, the last stylebender, to defeat Alex Pereira, but had lost $2 million Canadian dollars in November.
