Lemmy Kilmister, the iconic frontman of Motörhead, has been immortalized with a statue in his birth town of Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent, England. The "Lemmy Forever" ceremony on May 9, 2025, marked a decade since his passing and 50 years since the band's formation, celebrating his enduring influence on rock music.

The unveiling ceremony was a vibrant tribute, with Motörhead guitarist Phil Campbell placing Lemmy's ashes inside the statue, created by local sculptor and dedicated fan, Andy Edwards. The event drew hundreds of fans, creating a day filled with music, camaraderie, and heartfelt remembrance.

"It's unbelievable - it looks alive. Looking at it now, he really has captured Lemmy to a tee. It's brilliant," said Motörhead fan Nobby to BBC Radio Stoke, reflecting the sentiment echoed by many attendees. Edwards, known for his sculptures of The Beatles and Bob Marley, captured Lemmy in his classic 1981 era, a nod to Motörhead's headline performance at the Heavy Metal Holocaust.

The statue portrays Lemmy in his signature pose, singing into a microphone while playing his Rickenbacker bass guitar. More than just a monument, the statue serves as a permanent memorial, containing some of Lemmy's ashes, turning it into a shrine for fans worldwide. It stands as a testament to his impact on heavy metal, punk rock, and rock 'n' roll.
