Oasis Reunion Setlist Drama: Liam Gallagher Teases Tracks, Axes Controversial Tune for Live ’25 Tour
The anticipation for the Oasis reunion tour, dubbed Live '25, is reaching fever pitch. But amidst the excitement for the band's return after 16 years, details surrounding the setlist are causing a stir. Frontman Liam Gallagher has been actively engaging with fans on social media, dropping hints about which iconic tracks will make the cut – and which ones won't.
According to Liam's recent X (formerly Twitter) updates, the setlist is now finalized. However, not all fan favorites will be included. When a fan inquired about the inclusion of "Hey Now!" from (What's the Story) Morning Glory?, Liam delivered the disappointing news: "The setlist is done and I'm afraid it didn't make it now don't take it personally and call me hurty names as it's not my fault we can't play them all". He later clarified, in response to fan backlash, that Noel Gallagher was also involved in the setlist decisions: "It’s half Noel’s you little turd why do I get all the blame".

Adding another layer of complexity, the band has reportedly decided to exclude "Hello," the opening track of their 1995 album, due to its association with disgraced singer Gary Glitter. The song contains a reference to Glitter's 1973 hit, "Hello, Hello, I'm Back Again," earning Glitter and his producer a writing credit on the Oasis album. A source stated, "The lyrics of the song would obviously have been a good fit for the reunion tour but the band have decided to leave it in the past. It would be inappropriate to play it given its connotations to Glitter and his convictions.”

However, despite reports, Liam has assured fans that Hello will be played. "We’ll be playing HELLO trust me".

Amidst the setlist debates, Noel Gallagher offered a glimpse into the band's preparations, stating, "I’m in the studio just noodling around. We’re getting ready for rehearsals to start now in about three weeks, and then, yeah, we’ll see what happens.” He also confirmed that his relationship with Liam is currently positive.
The Oasis Live '25 tour is set to kick off on July 4th, 2025, at Cardiff's Principality Stadium and conclude on November 23rd, 2025, in São Paulo, Brazil. While the exact setlist remains a mystery, Liam has shared a hint - the setlist leaked online is "not far off". One thing confirmed: they will not be playing any solo tracks.
With the tour fast approaching, the question remains: What other surprises does Oasis have in store? Will the selected tracks fully satisfy long-time fans and new listeners alike? Let us know your thoughts and dream setlist in the comments below!
