Ozzy Osbourne, the legendary frontman of Black Sabbath, has shown his compassionate side by sending a special gift to former MTV VJ Matt Pinfield. Pinfield, a longtime friend and avid supporter of rock music, recently woke up from a two-month coma after suffering a stroke earlier this year. Pinfield suffered a stroke in January and spent weeks in a coma, a period that left many worried about his future. Upon waking up in March, he faced a long road to recovery, including extensive physical therapy. He made his first public appearance on May 1st at Green Day’s Hollywood Walk of Fame induction ceremony.
The gift from Osbourne was a custom cane, featuring a gold handle engraved with “Ozzy.” Pinfield shared his gratitude on Instagram on May 8th, expressing how deeply touched he was by the gesture. "Once in a while an act of kindness and friendship can make your day (or your year!). When I got this beautiful surprise gift from one of my rock ‘n roll heroes, I was completely blown away!!!" he wrote.
He continued, "The one and only Ozzy Osbourne, who I discovered at 9 years old with the Black Sabbath album, Paranoid, sent me one of his own personal engraved custom canes." He added, "I was absolutely floored when it appeared because I learned Ozzy handpicked it out from his personal collection. Couldn't think of a more thoughtful gift for a man who loves rock and roll, and is recovering from a life threatening experience! Thank you Ozzy, Sharon, Michael G, and Keith!! I love you all!!!!"

Grateful for the gift of life and being able to enjoy all of the people and music that I love," shared Pinfield.
