Blake Shelton Celebrates 30th No. 1 Hit “Texas” at ACM Awards: A Country Music Milestone

Blake Shelton is back on top! The country music superstar celebrated a major milestone at the 60th annual Academy of Country Music Awards, performing his latest single, "Texas," which marks his 30th No. 1 hit on the country charts. This achievement places him among country music royalty and signals a fresh chapter in his career.

Shelton's performance at the ACM Awards had the crowd buzzing. "Clad in a black suit, Shelton's performance had Jelly Roll out of his seat and dancing and singing in the crowd," capturing the energy of the moment. This performance was not just a celebration of "Texas," but a declaration of Shelton's continued relevance in the ever-evolving country music landscape.

The song comes from Shelton's new album, For Recreational Use Only, his first release with BMG Nashville after a long tenure at Warner Music Nashville. This move signifies a bold step forward in his career.

"It’s been a few years since I’ve had a solo No. 1 single, and I’m super fired up about this one," Shelton said in a press statement. He also expressed his excitement for the songwriters: "I'm excited for these songwriters. I know it's some of these guys' first number one song, and anytime you have a situation where someone's getting their big break and you can be a little tiny part of it, it makes it extra special."

Shelton himself emphasizes the significance of reaching such a landmark number. “‘Texas’ marks my 30th number one as an artist. Thirty is a lot of anything, and to have 30 number one songs is unbelievable, and I’m really trying to take it all in,” he said. He also thanks to fans and the industry for all support he had for years.

To further showcase dedication to his craft, Shelton made the trip to Texas despite severe weather. "Just got in my truck and freaking rain, went through the storm and I was excited when I crossed over into Texas,”. The former Entertainer of the Year showed he just want to brought "Texas" to ACM Award.

With "Texas" nearing the top of the charts, many are asking, Is Blake Back? The song's success, coupled with his new label and album, suggests a resounding yes. Interestingly, Shelton reflects on the parallels between "Texas" and his earlier hit, "God's Country", it feels like "a ‘God’s Country’ almost, because I was kind of starting to think, well, maybe that was it." marking a potential revival in his solo career.
